Peace Education for Resilience and Hope
The theme of the 21st International Mental Health Conference 2020 “Advance Mental Health for the Benefit of All” may seem fanciful or impossible in these times of Covid-19 isolation, uncertainty and change. Many of the usual external supports and networks that brought security, comfort and optimism have been either put on hold, dismantled or replaced by impersonal digital systems. These are the very factors that make it critical to discuss mental health and wellbeing for the benefit of everyone.

Camp Courage for Teen Girls Ready To Go!
The first Camp Courage is being run from Friday 12th July until Sunday 14th at Ivory’s Rock. It is Australia’s first courage development camp for teen girls, designed to help them develop key skills for success. During the camp, set in the idyllic surroundings of Ivory’s Rock, teen girls will learn invaluable skills and attitudes from mentors like Ky Thurneaux, award-winning Hollywood stunt artist and author of “Girls Own Survival guide”. 7News recently did a piece about the camp and spoke with Ky.
The camp will be run by Tanya Meesman, Founder of FUEL Girl Shaped Flames, internationally recognised Communications Expert and award-winning Film Producer. Tanya is an outstanding achiever and for the last ten years has juggled the production of feature films and commercials with providing client services for internationally renowned clients. In 2015 she took on the position of Head of Production at a feature film company in Sydney. However, it was her mentoring of younger women that gave her the greatest fulfilment and so she founded FUEL Girl Shaped Flames.
